Responsibilities
- Create and maintain product and process work instructions and improve these to reduce Cost of Poor Quality.
- Develop new processes and implement changes in product flow to support the production line using lean manufacturing principles.
- Analyze defect data to identify areas to improve yield.
- Work with others to implement process improvements.
- Apply Lean Six Sigma tools to solve production problems and improve existing processes.
- Use poke yoke principles to prevent production problems.
- Participate in and document root cause corrective action (RCCA) using problem-solving methodologies.
- Define and specify the requirements for assembly tooling, fixtures, and equipment to support current manufacturing operations and recommend changes for production line continuous improvements.
- Support and collaborate with other functions on your program team to solve manufacturing and process problems.
- Support the implementation of new automation assembly equipment including programming, process qualifications/validations, and supporting tooling design.
- Research emerging trends, techniques, methods, and current best practices to improve processes and meet tomorrow's challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Manufacturing Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
- 1-2 years manufacturing engineering experience.
- The ability to obtain a Secret Clearance is required.
- Exhibit sound interpersonal skills involving interfacing, coordinating, and negotiating with company personnel at all levels, customers and suppliers.
- Experience reading and working with technical drawings, schematics, process sheets, and change orders.
- Experience working independently and being effective in a fast-paced environment.
Preferred
- Leverage Lean manufacturing, Root Cause Corrective Action, and Sigma Green training.
- 1-2 years manufacturing engineering experience in an electronics manufacturing environment.
Pay
Full-Time Salary Range: $86,580 - $147,186
