Manufacturing Engineer

Job Summary

Anomatic is a fully integrated supplier of cosmetic and personal care packaging. The Manufacturing Engineer position involves resolving day-to-day production issues, providing technical assistance, and supporting continuous improvement initiatives.

Essential Functions

• Solve day-to-day production issues affecting product shipment on time.
• Resolve multi-disciplinary issues related to process, chemical, mechanical, and electrical aspects.
• Provide technical assistance to all manufacturing departments regarding machinery, tooling, fixture, gauges, etc.
• Act as liaison between production and engineering departments by managing engineering change notices and process specifications.
• Maintain a safe workplace by ensuring compliance with environmental and safety regulations.
• Identify and implement process changes to support continuous improvement and productivity objectives.
• Assist with engineering analyses such as manufacturing simulations, make or buy decisions, outsourcing, and line balancing.
• Review and sustain Total Preventative Maintenance Program (TPM).
• Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure TPM is up-to-date and accountable for successful project acceptance.
• Perform root cause analyses to improve line yields and engage appropriate organizations for improvement.
• Support and execute Lean Manufacturing efforts, including developing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), Training Within Industry (TWI), and standard work for machine and process controls.
• Manage and update site drawings, layouts, P&IDs, and process flow diagrams.
• Perform other related duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a technical field or equivalent experience (engineering preferred)
• 5 to 10 years’ experience with responsibility for manufacturing process support in a manufacturing environment
• Adept and experienced problem solver with strong technical issue determination and solution implementation skills
• Proficiency with machine automation and electrical troubleshooting
• Experience in a high-volume 24/7 manufacturing environment, particularly metal finishing
• Skilled in cross-group collaboration, negotiation, and requirement simplification
• Demonstrated experience in lean problem-solving and continuous improvement
• Willingness to respond to urgent situations, including evenings and weekends
• Proficient in SolidWorks and/or AutoCAD
• Exposure to PLC programming for troubleshooting and repairs

Prior Experience

• 1–3 years in equipment reliability (maintenance or reliability engineering)
• Willingness to travel (up to 20%)
• Certification in problem-solving (Lean Six Sigma, Red X, etc.)
• Experience in developing and implementing PFMEA/FMEA plans

Preferred

• Exposure to chemical processing, fluid pumps, piping, chemical storage, mechanical conveyance, and PLC, robot, or relay logic controls
• Experience in an anodizing plant with chemical processing and wastewater treatment
