About the role

We are seeking a Manufacturing Engineer to support and improve manufacturing operations at our Middletown, Connecticut facility. This is an excellent opportunity for an early-career engineer to gain hands-on experience in a fast-paced aerospace manufacturing environment.

Responsibilities

  • Support day-to-day manufacturing operations by troubleshooting process issues and implementing solutions
  • Develop and improve manufacturing processes, work instructions, and standard operating procedures
  • Partner with cross-functional teams to drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on safety, quality, delivery, and cost
  • Assist in new product introduction (NPI), including process development and tooling support
  • Utilize 3D modeling tools to support fixture design and process improvements
  • Analyze production data to identify trends and opportunities for efficiency and cost reduction
  • Participate in root cause analysis and corrective action activities for quality issues
  • Spend time on the shop floor working directly with operators and supervisors to drive improvements

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • 1–3 years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in aerospace or a highly regulated industry
  • Experience with 3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, NX, or similar)
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings (GD&T knowledge preferred)
  • Strong communication skills and ability to work cross-functionally
  • Project management experience is highly desired, but not required
  • A hands-on, team-oriented mindset with a willingness to learn and grow
