Manufacturing Engineer
About the role
This position is responsible for evaluating workforce requirements, establishing labor standards, optimizing manpower utilization, and improving manufacturing efficiency within a high-volume production environment. The engineer will analyze production processes, determine staffing levels, balance workloads, develop standard work, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to improve safety, quality, productivity, and cost performance.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate labor requirements and determine optimal workforce levels for production operations.
- Develop and maintain labor standards using MTM, MOST, MCTM, or other predetermined time systems.
- Analyze production processes, line balance, staffing models, and workstation utilization.
- Drive manpower optimization and productivity improvement initiatives.
- Conduct time studies and establish standard work procedures.
- Support new product launches, process changes, and manufacturing trials.
- Improve material flow and plant efficiency through Lean Manufacturing principles.
- Identify cost reduction opportunities through improved process design and workforce allocation.
- Use data analysis to drive decisions related to staffing, production capacity, and operational performance.
- Partner with Operations, Engineering, and Materials teams to support daily production goals.
- Lead continuous improvement projects utilizing Lean and Six Sigma methodologies.

Pay
The pay range for this position is $45.00 - $47.50/hr.
Schedule
This is a fully onsite position in Dublin, VA.
