About the role

We are seeking a mid-level Manufacturing Engineer to support a production engineering team. This role focuses on the creation and refinement of aircraft build plans, assessing design changes, and ensuring the health of the production system. The position requires cross-functional collaboration and technical leadership to drive continuous improvements and meet build plan milestones.

Responsibilities

  • Create and refine aircraft zonal build plans, mitigating risks and developing sequenced execution plans.
  • Assess build plan impacts from design changes, mitigate risks, and influence producibility.
  • Lead stakeholder engagement and provide consultation on build plan aspects.
  • Drive continuous improvements through innovation and data analytics.
  • Act as an integrator for the health of the production system, bridging design, the build plan, and the product.
  • Manage loadable software and corresponding configuration management tasks.
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, stakeholders, and peers.
  • Provide oversight and approval of technical approaches, products, and processes.
  • Enhance the build integration process by facilitating lessons learned reviews.
  • Attend technical review meetings for design changes to provide build impact and recommendations.

Requirements

  • Education: A Bachelor of Science degree from an accredited course of study in engineering, engineering technology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, data science, or computer science is required.
  • Experience: 2+ years of experience reading and understanding engineering drawings, blueprints, schematics, and specifications. 2+ years of experience supporting the development of engineering technical data packages for aircraft parts and components. 2+ years of experience using professional and technical writing skills.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 5 or more years of related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Experience in an electrical background, including wire installation.
  • Build integration experience.
  • Experience with IVT.
  • Proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Experience with CATIA.
  • Experience with GoldEsp.
