Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and optimize manufacturing processes for the production of autonomous surface vessels.
- Implement lean manufacturing principles to improve efficiency and reduce waste in the production workflow.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure seamless integration of design specifications into the manufacturing process.
- Collaborate with suppliers and vendors to source and qualify materials necessary for production.
- Establish and implement quality control measures to ensure the highest standards of product quality.
- Conduct root cause analysis and implement corrective actions for any production issues.
- Identify opportunities for continuous improvement in manufacturing processes and implement changes to enhance efficiency.
- Stay abreast of industry trends and emerging technologies to incorporate advancements into the manufacturing process.
- Create and maintain comprehensive documentation for manufacturing processes, ensuring compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Work closely with regulatory bodies to ensure all manufacturing processes adhere to applicable standards.
- Provide training and support to production personnel to ensure proper execution of manufacturing processes.
- Troubleshoot and address any issues that may arise during the production process.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field.
- Master's degree is a plus.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, particularly in the production of complex electromechanical systems.
- Familiarity with autonomous systems, robotics, or maritime technologies is highly desirable.
- Strong understanding of lean manufacturing principles and continuous improvement methodologies.
- Knowledge of industry standards and regulations related to autonomous maritime systems.
