Manufacturing Electrical Engineer / Drilling Services
Roles And Responsibilities
- Identify root cause of PCBA failures by troubleshooting PCBA failures
- Design and develop manufacturing processes, equipment, and electrical systems to improve process capability, quality, and manufacturing readiness
- Cook up and maintain BOMs and routings for newly released part numbers, updating them as processes evolve through Lean Manufacturing initiatives
- Create and develop electrical tools, machinery, and equipment for enhanced manufacturing methods
- Identify and resolve production workflow issues including level loading, bottlenecks, machine reliability, and waste reduction
- Lead key decisions and oversee projects that drive manufacturing excellence
- Provide technical guidance for manufacturing activities and recommend process improvements
- Support quoting and order management processes with technical expertise
- Develop procedures and technical reports
- Work with Purchasing, Category Management, and Manufacturing teams to simulate and assign manufacturing COGS
- Collaborate with global cross-functional teams to innovate and implement manufacturing technology best practices
Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or industrial/manufacturing engineering from an accredited university
- 5–7+ years in a manufacturing environment
- Knowledge of electrical engineering processes and principles within manufacturing settings
- Expertise in electrical system design, circuit design, PCB assembly processes, and special manufacturing processes (conformal coating, soldering, ESD protection, testing, etc.)
- Proficiency with facility workshop tools including test ovens, soldering equipment, ESD workstations, and electrical testing equipment
- Strong programming skills for AOI and Flying Probe inspection equipment
- Ability to troubleshoot PCBA’s to determine Root Cause of failures
- Proficiency in MS Office suite
- Strong team leadership skills, self-motivated, innovative, and able to work independently
- Leverage Lean Manufacturing experience or Lean Green Belt/Black Belt certification
- Familiarity with IPC-A-610 and IPC-J-STD-001 specifications
- Understanding electrical schematics and PCBA drawings
