Manufacturing Cost Accountant

About the role

This role is responsible for the costing & controlling function for product line at Measurement Systems. Provides monthly operational reporting package with analysis of sales, costs (Material labor & overhead including variance analysis) and profit contribution, including Inventory & work orders control and sox compliance.

Responsibilities

• Provides monthly operational reporting package with analysis of sales, costs (Material labor & overhead including variance analysis) and profit contribution, including Inventory & work orders control and sox compliance.
• Preparation of monthly reporting package, gross margin reconciliations & cost variances analysis
• Responsible for the product/projects costing, costing parameters & profitability
• Responsible on inventory & work orders valuation, control, reserve & physical count
• Responsible for audits review, sox compliance & internal control
• Support management with project profitability, actual cost analysis & cost saving program

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting/finance, CPA/CMA nice to have
• 7 years’ experience with costing & cost controlling and accounting background in manufacturing environment.
• Experience with Syspro ERP system
• Strong analytical and financial modeling skills, along with budgeting, forecasting, and cost analysis to drive profitability and efficiency
• Advanced Excel skills are essential for financial modeling, data analysis, and report preparation.
• International travel is required

• Base Salary: $95,000 - $105,000 per year depending on experience.
