About the role
This position works onsite at the plant in Logan, Utah.
Responsibilities
- Supporting in the development and maintenance of accurate product costs and analyses for new products.
- Auditing and maintaining accurate costs within the cost system.
- Ensuring that product cost changes are effectively communicated.
- Facilitating the establishment of systems, processes, and procedures to collect and record data required for internal and external reporting.
- Maintaining accurate inventory, charging costs to the general ledger, determining appropriate accruals, assisting in explanations for period results, and maintaining a strong system of internal controls.
- Providing appropriate financial analysis for planned capital expenditures and ensuring accurate recording of fixed assets in the fixed asset system.
- Supporting and completing bi-weekly milk reconciliations with suppliers and monthly milk reporting for external customers.
- Contributing to the development of a culture that thrives on continuous improvement and the development of knowledge and skills.
- May be required to perform other job-related tasks.
Requirements
- Bachelor's in Accounting, Finance, or Business
- 3+ years' work experience, preferably 2+ years of accounting experience
- Proficiency in Excel and other data analysis tools
- Familiarity with word-processing, graphics, flowcharts or other software
- Curiosity in leveraging technology and automation to improve processes
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and drive process improvements
