Manufacturing Cleanup & Finishing Associate

Job Responsibilities

• Perform general plant housekeeping and janitorial duties throughout manufacturing and facility areas.
• Deburr and clean manufactured parts to remove sharp edges and prepare parts for handling or shipment.
• Inscribe, mark, or identify part numbers on materials and components.
• Retrieve, transport, and deliver materials and parts throughout the facility.
• Operate hand tools, forklifts, cranes, and other equipment safely after training/certification.
• Absorb and assist with light maintenance and facility support duties as assigned.

Additional Requirements

• Must possess or be able to acquire and practice basic computer skills and adapt to applicable software for Company operations.
• Must possess or be able to acquire and practice effective organizational, interpersonal, and communication skills necessary for working with employees related to job functions.
• Must be able to perform work in a safe manner.
• Must be physically able to lift and load materials weighing up to 50 pounds.
• Must be able to pass state-approved written and hands-on tests to effectively operate a forklift and floor-operated overhead crane.

Working Conditions And Physical Requirements

• Normal manufacturing environment with exposure to dust and excessive noise associated with the manufacturing process.
• Restroom facilities environment.
• Outdoor Michigan environment.
