About the role
Performs new and routine inspections, checks, tests, and sampling procedures of standard parts. Responsible for receiving, in-process, or final inspections as required.
Responsibilities
- Utilize aptitude in measurement techniques, metrology, and blueprint reading to verify operators are accurately measuring and recording dimensions on IP sheets or other documentation.
- Perform first article and first piece approval for operators.
- Perform and assist in developing internal and external corrective action responses.
- Perform inspection duties, as required.
- Support quality improvement and cost savings initiatives, as required.
- Assist the supervisor, Quality Inspector II, and Quality Engineer, as required.
- Assist in other production areas, as needed.
Requirements
- High School Diploma or GED.
- 0-3 years of manufacturing experience with knowledge of inspection methodology.
Skills
- Interpersonal skills.

- Attention to detail.
- Basic blueprint and GD&T knowledge.
- Ability to correctly use inspection tools such as micrometers, calipers, gage blocks, and pin gages, etc.
- Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
- Ability to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Work Environment
Work performed in a production environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to high, in some areas.
Pay
Hourly position with a salary range of $35,000 to $50,000 USD per year. The actual salary offered will be based on experience, skills, qualifications, market/business considerations, and geographic location.
Schedule
Monday-Friday, 7:30am-3:30pm.
