Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician

About the role

• 100% onsite position located in San Jose, CA (Rose Orchard Way)
• 04-month contract role
• During the first month (training), the shift is Monday to Friday, 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM
• After training, the shift is Monday to Friday, 9:00 AM to 5:30 PM (following manager confirmation)

As a Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician, you will calibrate, test, and prepare Client Echo systems for shipping. This role reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor and is part of the Production Team.

Responsibilities

• Follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping
• Provide first-line troubleshooting for diagnosing problems
• Contribute to group problem-solving and process improvement activities

Requirements

• Minimum 3-5 years of relevant experience in a calibration manufacturing position
• Associate's degree in a technical field (e.g., Computer, Life Sciences, Chemistry) or comparable long-standing work experience
• Effective and analytical problem-solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests
• Proactive profile with initiative and the ability to ask questions
• Able to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a team
• Good communication skills

Qualifications (Preferred)

• BS degree in Life Science, Chemistry, or Engineering technology discipline
• Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
• Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (e.g., Beckman, Agilent, Hamilton)

Pay

$25.46/hour on W2 (no benefits)
