About the role
Primary Talent Partners has a new contract opening for a Manufacturing Calibration Test Technician with a multinational science and technology company in San Jose, CA. This is a 3‑month contract with a potential for extension. The position reports to the Manufacturing Supervisor, is part of the Production Team, and is an on‑site role.
Responsibilities
- Follow established procedures to calibrate, test, and prepare instruments for shipping
- Provide the first line of troubleshooting for diagnosing problems
- Contribute to group problem solving and process improvement activities
Requirements
- Minimum 3‑5 years of relevant experience in manufacturing machines/hardware calibration / using data to calibrate manufacturing equipment
- Associate's degree in a technical field (Computer, Engineering or Life Sciences)
- Effective and analytical problem‑solving skills, including basic understanding of statistical methods, techniques, formulas, and tests
- Proactive profile: asks questions and shows initiative
- Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and work as part of a team
- Good communication skills
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States and able to sit on Primary Talent Partners W2 without sponsorship
- Candidates with Master's degrees are considered overqualified for this position
Skills (Preferred)
- Prior work experience with calibration, automation, centrifuges, plate readers, etc.
- Familiarity with chemistry and liquid handling equipment (Beckman, Agilent,
