Manufacturing Business Analyst I
About the role
We are currently accepting applications for an upcoming Manufacturing Business Analyst I position at our Renton, WA locations. This role supports data-driven decision-making through business intelligence, reporting, and process automation.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain Power BI dashboards, including data modeling, DAX calculations, and visualization best practices.
- Build and support Power Automate flows to automate manual processes and improve operational efficiency.
- Draft from scratch (and modify stored procedures) that execute complex SQL queries to extract, validate, and analyze data from ERP and manufacturing systems.
- Experience working with ERP data structures and translating front-end queries (e.g., BAQs) into backend SQL logic.
- Aid in ERP reporting, data cleanup, and basic troubleshooting.
- Create clear, concise written and visual reports summarizing trends, insights, and recommendations.
- Collaborate with manufacturing, engineering, quality and operations teams to understand business needs and translate them into data or reporting requirements.
- Support process improvement initiatives by identifying data gaps, inefficiencies, and automation opportunities.
- Document business processes (current and future state), data flows, and reporting standards.
- Participate in cross-functional projects and support system enhancements or integrations.
Requirements
- Experience with Power BI, including data modeling and report development.
- Experience building Power Automate workflows.
- Ability to write and interpret SQL queries.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills.
- Experience working in a manufacturing or operations environment (internships acceptable).
- Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field required.
- Experience 1–3 years of experience in business analysis, data analytics, manufacturing operations, or related roles. (Internships and co-op experience accepted.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with ERP systems (e.g., Epicor, SAP, Oracle, Microsoft Dynamics).
- Familiarity with manufacturing KPIs (OEE, scrap, throughput, downtime).
- Exposure to Lean, Six Sigma, Value Stream Mapping, or continuous improvement methodologies.
- Experience with automation or scripting tools (e.g., VBA, Python).

- Annual Salary: $91,500 - $100,000
