Manufacturing Associate (wet lab)

THE POSITION
As a Manufacturing Associate, you will contribute to Parse’s growth by expanding our manufacturing capabilities through manual and automated production processes. You will focus on learning and performing these processes, ensuring adherence to written procedures and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
IN THIS POSITION, YOU WILL
- Maintain strict adherence to written procedures and GMP during manual and automated production processes
- Escalate observations to area management for potential issues to prevent downstream impacts
- Perform scheduled and as-needed cleaning operations to sanitize work area, equipment, and lab supplies
- Verify equipment and materials are in proper condition and disposition status before starting work
- Accurately complete work documentation including batch records, cleaning and maintenance logs, and initiating deviations and/or nonconformities
- Support finished goods, work-in-progress, and raw material inventory levels
- Ensure a safe work environment by following PPE requirements and identifying areas for improvement
- Propose and perform revisions to procedures, batch records, work instructions, and other training materials to improve workflow and reduce errors
- Interact with support functions such as Quality Control and Supply Chain on activities required for manufacturing and testing
- Conduct root cause analyses using techniques like the 6Ms and 5-whys
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives to enhance safety, quality, delivery, cost, or operational efficiency
FOR THIS POSITION, WE LOOK FOR
- A Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry, Biochemistry, or another related field, and
- 0-2 years of hands-on laboratory experience in a medical device, biotechnology, or academic setting.
- Demonstrated proficiency in standard productivity tools such as Word, Excel, and Outlook
- Curiosity and willingness to adopt emerging technologies, including AI tools, to support task/workflow automation focused at increasing operational efficiency.
- Great written and verbal communication skills
- The ability to work both independently and in a team environment
JOB CONDITIONS
- Must be able to work in a laboratory environment while wearing PPE consistent with the requirements of BSL-1, or, when applicable, BSL-2 laboratories
- Standing for extended periods, and occasionally carrying and/or lifting up to 30 pounds is required
