Manufacturing Associate - Pallet Builder/Repair

About the role

As a Pallet Repairer, you’ll build and repair wooden pallets from freshly cut or recycled wood daily to fulfill customer needs. This is a piece-rate position—earn more by repairing more pallets.

Pay

Hourly Pay: $17.13/hr. plus Piece Rate ($0.50 per pallet). Pay Range: USD $17.13 – USD $23.00/hr.

Schedule

1st Shift: Monday – Friday, 8:00 am – 3:30 pm. Overtime available as needed.

Responsibilities

• Receive wood from the saw shop and assemble pallets using a nail gun along set stringers.
• Stack finished pallets by hand for forklift operators to move to designated areas.
• Follow all company safety procedures to ensure a safe work environment for yourself and others.
• Maintain high-quality standards while producing a high volume of finished goods.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED.
• Ability to lift wooden pallets weighing up to 50 lbs. regularly.
• Repetitively lift 50–75 lbs. and adjust body position to bend, stoop, walk, turn, pivot, and stand for entire shifts.
• Work in extreme conditions, including exposure to elements, heat, cold, and air particulates.
• Wear required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE): eye protection, ear protection (mandatory at several locations), and safety shoes.
• Specific vision abilities: close vision, distance vision, and color vision.
• Quick hands, attention to detail, and commitment to quality.
• Effective communication skills.
• Previous experience in lumber, warehouse, construction, carpentry, landscaping, or roofing is highly preferred.
