About the role
Vanguard EMS, Inc. is dedicated to serving its customers, suppliers, and communities. The Manufacturing Associate plays a crucial role in maintaining quality standards by collaborating with team members and adhering to regulatory requirements.
Responsibilities
- Inspect boards for compliance with regulatory standards
- Perform WIP transactions in Vanguard's software system for traceability
- Communicate quality issues to relevant teams and management
- Stop workflow to address defective products
- Create a positive team environment and maintain workspaces
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Maintain a clean and organized workspace
Requirements
- High-level critical thinking, analysis, attention to detail, and communication skills
- Strong leadership, teambuilding, and problem-solving abilities
- Ability to use a microscope and manipulate small components
- Knowledge of common manufacturing processes and equipment
- Ability to lift up to 25 lbs
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Prior experience in SMT, through-hole, wave, or selective solder processes
- J-STD and IPC certification preferred
