About the Role

This is a temporary, onsite assignment with a duration of 6+ months for a global leader in biotechnology product development services. The role supports our client’s mission to empower customers in healthcare, scientific research, safety, and education by assembling parts and sub-assemblies according to design specifications and company quality standards.

Responsibilities

  • Select components, align, and assemble them in proper sequence by drilling holes, adding rivets, screws, bolts, braces, tape, cement, or solder to meet specifications.
  • Select appropriate sub-assemblies or component parts and install them in the unit in specified sequence according to Sequence of Events (SOE).
  • Apply wiring harnesses, sensors, and other electrical components in cabinet as per Sequence of Events (SOE).
  • Recognize color codes to ensure wiring and other color-coded procedures meet guidelines.
  • Read electrical wiring diagrams to accomplish accurate assembly.
  • Use a wide range of hand tools, drill, rivet gun, saw, hi-pot tester, and drill press.
  • Inspect parts during sub-assembly and at key points to ensure the unit meets specified quality standards prior to moving to the next workstation.
  • Verify that custom equipment changes have been made according to order and Smart Part Number.
  • Clean and pack final product using approved chemicals; refer to MSDS to ensure safe handling and proper PPE is used around chemicals.
  • Move units or position pieces manually or using work aids such as casters, cranes, or forklifts.
  • Perform other duties and provide support and coverage on all operations on the line as requested by supervisor; cross-training and flexibility required.
  • Reorder raw materials and finished parts using the Kanban inventory system.
  • Maintain Supermarket racks and inventory accuracy using the correct part numbers and bin locations.
  • Lift up to 40 pounds throughout the day.

Requirements

  • Ability to read electrical wiring diagrams.
  • Ability to recognize color codes.
  • Ability to use hand tools, drill, rivet gun, saw, hi-pot tester, and drill press.
  • Ability to handle chemicals safely using MSDS and PPE.
  • Ability to lift up to 40 pounds throughout the day.

Schedule

Monday to Friday from 02:00 PM to 10:30 PM.
