Manufacturing Associate

About the role

Mativ has openings for Manufacturing Associates to work on the Paper Machine at the Neenah Mill. Associates start in bottom‑level positions and progress upward as openings occur, working as 4th Hands, Helpers in stock preparation, and on the Laminator. The role requires the ability to work 8‑12 hour rotating shifts, overtime, and a schedule that may include weekends and holidays.

Responsibilities

• Lift up to 50 lbs.
• Climb stairs and ladders
• Considerable walking, reaching, turning and twisting
• Work in hot temperatures
• Comprehend and follow written procedures and policies
• Perform duties as 4th Hand, Helper in stock prep, and on the Laminator
• Work 8‑12 hour rotating shifts, overtime, and schedules that may include weekends and holidays

Qualifications

• At least 18 years of age
• High school diploma or GED
• Demonstrate personal safety awareness and promote a safe work environment
• Willing to work rotating shifts and overtime
• Good mechanical and troubleshooting skills
• Solid computer skills
• Ability to operate high‑speed equipment after initial training
• Effective communication in a team or self‑directed work environment
• Paper machine, converting, or other process‑related experience preferred

Pay

• Starting pay: $30.89 per hour
• Double time for hours worked on Sundays
• Shift differential: $0.26 per hour for 2nd shift
• Additional $0.52 per hour for hours worked on 3rd shift (on top of base)

Schedule

• Employees work Monday‑Friday with overtime scheduled as needed
• Training begins on 8‑hour shifts following a rotating shift schedule
• After training, transition to 12‑hour shifts on a 2‑2‑3 schedule
• Must be able to work 8‑12 hour rotating shifts, overtime, and schedules that may include weekends and holidays
