Responsibilities

  • Perform general manufacturing tasks such as wood door preparation, aluminum frame assembly, painting/finishing hollow metal frames, order picking, sorting and loading of finished product.
  • Ensure products adhere to standards of safety and quality.
  • Read Work Orders and Product Templates to establish necessary fabrication to be performed.
  • Perform quality control checks and help maintain customer requirements.
  • Maintain general housekeeping in all areas of production and additional areas assigned by shop supervisor.
  • Sort, organize, and store inventory in proper location.
  • Packaged manufactured items and label correctly.
  • Scan delivered items and ensure quality.
  • Report damaged or missing inventory to supervisors.
  • Load/Unload trucks for shipping/delivery to proper location.
  • Update logs and documentation for inventory processing.
  • Other duties as assigned by the Operations Manager.

Requirements

  • High School Diploma, or an equivalent combination of education/experience.
  • A current and valid US driver’s license preferred.
  • At least 1 year prior experience in a fast-paced production/manufacturing environment preferred.
  • Must pass pre-employment background check and drug test.

Qualifications

  • Ability to do arithmetic, read orders, write instructions and complete forms; read tape measure; safely operate basic hand/power tools; meet production quotas; and work closely and cordially with other staff associates.
  • Capable of working in a factory environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and quality.
  • A desire to learn to operate machinery and product assembly.

Physical Demands

  • This position requires physical activity consistent with a construction or installation environment.
  • The employee will spend more than two-thirds of their time standing, kneeling, crouching, stooping, using hands to handle or feel, and reaching with hands and arms.
  • Approximately one-third of the time may be spent walking and engaging in verbal communication or listening.
  • Frequent lifting and moving of materials weighing between 25 and 50 pounds is required.
