Manufacturing Associate

About the role

We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Associate in our Forge Department at the Bakers facility in Monroe, NC.

Responsibilities

• Operating the furnaces, cut-off saw, grinder, Glama, forklift, and crane
• Setting up and operating machines safely within the standard operating procedures
• Detecting faulty equipment and defective material
• Marking dimensions and using correct measuring tools such as tape measures
• Adhering to all safety policies, practices, and procedures
• Working from mill orders and procedures to obtain specifications such as dimensions, tolerances, and other instructions to meet customer specifications
• Maintaining all required work and material identification
• Verifying data collection to maintain logs, records, and other paperwork that is required

Qualifications

• A High School Diploma / GED
• One (1) year of manufacturing experience

Skills

• Basic computer skills
• Basic math skills
• Ability to read a tape measure as well as other measuring devices
• Time management skills
