Manufacturing Associate (1st Shift, Systems)

We have an opportunity for a dedicated team player to be part of a fast-paced, busy manufacturing environment at Fujifilm Sonosite, Inc in Bothell, WA. This full-time role focuses on manufacturing diagnostic ultrasound transducers.

Responsibilities

• Follow all required procedures such as Assembly Instruction, Personal Protective Equipment, and Device History Record.
• Mix, cast, and cure epoxy-based materials.
• Perform casting, bonding, shielding, packaging, go-no-go testing, wiring, gluing, hand soldering, component installation, or bonding using tools such as soldering irons, glue dispensers, scales, microscopes, calipers, micrometers, and various hand tools.
• Provide training and guidance to other Manufacturing Associates.
• Assist in other areas of Manufacturing and Operations as needed.
• Perform machine cleaning and maintenance.
• Participate in projects such as Internal Assessment, Material Management, and Yield Improvement.
• Carry out the requirements of the company's quality system.
• Tasks may include:
  • Weighing and mixing epoxy-based materials.
  • Cleaning and assembling high-precision molds.
  • Light mechanical assembly of small components using hand tools and torque drivers.
  • Manual assembly operations including shielding, gluing, and cable preparation.
  • Hand soldering of fine pitch cables and flexible circuits under a microscope.
  • Measurement of thin layers using high-precision drop gauges.
  • Use of high-precision tools such as height gages, calipers, and micrometers.
  • Basic equipment operation such as saws, machine mills, and lathes.
  • Basic computer skills for device history record transactions.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
• Experience in high-tech manufacturing preferred but not required.
• Excellent hand-eye coordination and manual dexterity.
• Ability to read and comprehend written instructions.
• Effective verbal and written communication skills for completing manufacturing documentation.
• Excellent attention to detail.
• Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Basic math skills.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision.
• Ability to handle and work with chemicals.
• Able to lift 25 lbs with or without accommodations.

Schedule

Shift hours are 5:00 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday through Thursday, with opportunities for overtime on Friday and Saturday.

Pay

Starting wage of $24.00 per hour, with a $0.50 raise after 6 months of service.
