About the role

The client is seeking a hands-on Associate Test Engineer II to support system-level testing and validation of highly advanced technology products. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys troubleshooting complex systems, analyzing data, and working in a fast-paced engineering environment.

Responsibilities

  • Perform setup, calibration, testing, troubleshooting, and repair of electrical, mechanical, and optomechanical systems.
  • Execute system-level and final integration testing to ensure product quality and readiness.
  • Analyze test results, identify trends, and provide recommendations based on data findings.
  • Develop and execute test procedures and test specifications from engineering drawings, diagrams, and documentation.
  • Troubleshoot assemblies and systems, complete rework activities, and verify corrective actions.
  • Prepare technical reports documenting findings, test results, and recommended solutions.
  • Aid with the setup and utilization of specialized test equipment.
  • Support continuous improvement efforts and contribute to solving moderately complex technical challenges.
  • Perform daily assignments with minimal supervision while adapting to new tasks and priorities.

Qualifications

  • Associate's degree with relevant experience or Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Engineering Technology, Physics, Computer Science, or a related technical discipline.
  • 2–4 years of related experience (recent graduates with strong technical project experience may also be considered).
  • Hands-on experience testing, troubleshooting, or repairing electrical, electronic, mechanical, or integrated systems.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and draw meaningful conclusions.
  • Experience reading and interpreting technical drawings, diagrams, and engineering documentation.
  • Ability to work independently in a laboratory, manufacturing, or testing environment.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Experience using basic hand tools and measurement equipment.
  • Ability to work extended hours and weekends when required.
  • Ability to stand, bend, and lift up to 50 pounds with assistance.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience with system-level testing and validation.
  • Familiarity with oscilloscopes, DVMs, and other electronic test equipment.
  • Experience working in a cleanroom environment.
  • Knowledge of LabVIEW, Linux, and Microsoft Office applications.
  • Previous semiconductor, manufacturing, or advanced technology industry experience.
  • Personal technical hobbies or projects such as robotics, automotive work, electronics, fabrication, or other hands-on engineering activities.
