Manufacturing Asset Manager
About the role
This is a unique opportunity to help shape the future of one of Amcor's most strategically important packaging platforms. As a Manufacturing Asset Manager – Rigid Extrusion & Thermoforming, you will lead the development and execution of platform strategy across a network of manufacturing sites, technologies, and business segments.
Responsibilities
- Develop and lead the long-term strategy for Amcor's rigid extrusion and thermoforming platform
- Identify and prioritize capability, capacity, technology, and operational investments required to support future growth
- Lead multi-generation platform roadmaps addressing sustainability, recycled content, material transitions, manufacturing technology, and productivity improvements
- Partner with executive leadership to define strategic priorities and investment direction
- Drive profitable growth by aligning platform capabilities with customer, market, and business needs
- Provide strategic guidance on customer opportunities, network capacity, and manufacturing capabilities
- Support commercial teams in evaluating growth opportunities and strategic customer decisions
- Translate market trends into actionable platform strategies and investment plans
- Lead and influence cross-functional teams spanning Operations, Engineering, R&D, Supply Chain, Finance, Marketing, and Commercial organizations
- Communicate recommendations and strategic direction to senior leadership teams
Requirements
The ideal candidate combines technical depth, business insight, and leadership capability. They are comfortable moving between the plant floor, executive conference room, customer discussions, and investment reviews. They are naturally curious, highly collaborative, and energized by the opportunity to help lead a platform through significant transformation and growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Operations, Business, or related field
- 5+ years of experience across Engineering, Operations, Manufacturing, R&D, Product Management, Asset Management, Supply Chain, or related disciplines
- Strong technical understanding of manufacturing processes and industrial technologies
- Demonstrated business acumen and ability to connect technical decisions to financial outcomes
- Proven ability to influence without direct authority and lead cross-functional initiatives
- Strong communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with both technical teams and senior leaders
- Strategic thinker capable of balancing long-term vision with practical execution
