About the role
Teledyne Micropac is seeking an experienced assembler and machine operator to join their team. This role involves performing a wide variety of electronic, electro-mechanical, mechanical or measurement product assembly operations.
Responsibilities
- Training will occur on First Shift; upon successful completion of training, new hire will be expected to move to Second Shift position: 2:30pm to 11:00pm, OT and Saturdays when needed.
- 6% shift premium is offered for second shift upon successful completion of training.
- Follow production drawings, procedures and work instructions in detail, understands and applies established workmanship practices for all facets of satellites, medical, defense/aerospace and high reliability industrial applications.
- Operate Auto and Manual Bonding equipment to perform thermosonic gold wire and aluminum wire bonding.
- Ensure that quality checks are completed throughout the manufacturing processes.
- Strong problem-solving abilities.
- Ability to work collaboratively with other teammates, quality control and process engineers to ensure product meets strict specifications.
- Attentiveness to details and adherence to safety and cleanliness protocols are essential.
- Absorb and assist with training as required.
- Perform Bond Pull, Die Shear and Sheer Strength Test as determined by Supervisor.
- Delicate hand assembly of electronics devices using solder, epoxy, and wire bonding techniques specifically under the microscopes.
- Inspect completed work to quality requirements.
Requirements
- Possess excellent manual dexterity, manufacturing knowledge.
- Experience with small parts, small hand tools, equipment, and microscope.
- Ability to read and work from engineer drawings, work instructions and bills of material to understand the required parts and steps needed to complete the assigned assembly.
- Possess a solid, quality minded work ethic and a strong attention to detail with a strong desire for precision and accuracy when executing job duties.
- Knowledge of Foreign Object Debris (FOD control).
- If overtime is necessary, reasonable efforts will be made to provide employees with adequate advance notice, however, sometimes overtime may be mandatory.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma and basic computer skills are a necessity - required.
- A minimum of 6 months - 1 year of experience in a manufacturing assembly, production environment, or cleanroom experience is essential.
