Manufactured Home Set Up Foreman

About the role

Samaritan's Purse is seeking a dedicated Manufactured Home Set Up Foreman to lead the installation of manufactured homes in our mission to rebuild communities and spread the love of Jesus Christ. This role involves guiding and empowering teams of volunteers to ensure every project is completed to the highest standards. You will work with Rebuild teams at sites in Watauga County (Boone, NC), Buncombe County (Asheville, NC), and Yancey County (Burnsville, NC).

Each day begins with devotions and prayer for staff and volunteers.

Responsibilities

• Maintain a personal relationship with Jesus Christ and serve as an effective witness in your work.
• Collaborate with the Manufactured Home Manager, Case Workers, and Volunteer Coordinators to procure and install manufactured homes for communities in need.
• Provide hands-on training and mentorship to volunteer teams, ensuring they understand their roles and contribute effectively.
• Oversee project progress, ensuring adherence to budget guidelines and high craftsmanship standards.
• Conduct safety training sessions to promote a culture of safety on-site and ensure compliance with protocols.
• Manage inventory of materials and equipment, implementing security measures to prevent loss or damage.
• Perform thorough inspections to ensure compliance with federal, state, and local laws and codes.
• Communicate project progress and needs effectively to volunteers and partners.
• Review project paperwork with Office Managers and Logistics Coordinators to maintain operational transparency.
• Perform all other duties as assigned.

Requirements

• One year certificate from a college or technical school and two to four years of related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
• Experience with all aspects of mobile and manufactured home installation, including foundation work and final inspection.
• Thorough knowledge of the mobile home and construction industries and processes.
• Highly effective communication skills.
• Fluency in English (required).

Schedule

Full-time position with travel expected within the local area of Rebuild sites.
