Manual QA Test Analyst

Essential Functions

• Execute manual test cases across system, integration, and regression test phases
• Review business and technical requirements to ensure test coverage and traceability
• Create and maintain test cases, test scripts, and test data
• Perform data validation testing, including querying databases using basic to intermediate SQL
• Log, track, and retest defects, working closely with development teams to ensure timely resolution
• Support UAT activities, including coordination with business users when required
• Ensure testing activities align with Company QA standards, SDLC, and compliance requirements
• Work collaboratively within a distributed team environment
• Contribute to continuous improvement of QA processes and documentation

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science or a related discipline
• 2+ years’ experience working as a Manual QA / Test Analyst
• Strong understanding of software testing fundamentals and SDLC
• Experience creating and executing test cases from requirements and user stories
• Experience working in both Agile and Waterfall methodologies
• Ability to work independently while contributing effectively within a team
• Strong attention to detail and analytical mindset
• Strong proficiency in SQL for data validation and query-based testing
• IstQB or TMAP certification (or equivalent) required
• Proven track record in testing financial software and cloud-based enterprise applications
• Familiarity with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) compliance and knowledge of the aviation industry is an advantage
• Exceptional communication skills with the ability to manage stakeholders effectively

Skills

• Strong manual testing experience (functional, integration, regression)
• Working knowledge of SQL for test data validation and backend testing
• Experience with defect management tools (e.g. JIRA or similar)
• Familiarity with test management tools (eagle, Zepher or equivalent)
• Understanding of data driven testing concepts
• Exposure to SOX controlled or regulated environments is an advantage
• Experience in financial services, leasing, or large enterprise systems is beneficial but not required
