Manual Machinists will set up, tend, and operate manually controlled lathe, drill press, vertical mill and/or swaging machines. Responsibilities
- Perform typical machine shop operations
- Detect and report defective materials or questionable conditions to management or designee
- Properly select, align, secure and remove holding fixtures, cutting tools, attachments and materials onto machines
- Maintain work area and equipment in a clean orderly condition and follow prescribed safety procedures
- Perform inspection of machined products, measuring parts to meet print specifications
- Complete and maintain paperwork for parts
- Perform basic troubleshooting as required
- Perform all other duties, as assigned
