Manual Machinist

Location: Bentleyville Facility in Charleroi, PA (Gardner Denver Nash - 200 Simko Blvd. Charleroi, PA 15022). Shift: 1st Shift (5am - 1:30pm).

This position will be based at our site in Bentleyville, PA; no travel required.

Job Overview

The Manual Machinist performs a variety of duties including drilling and tapping of castings.

Responsibilities

• Good working knowledge of manual machining equipment such as lathes and mills.
• Use manual lathes and mills.

Requirements

• High School Diploma or GED
• 1+ years’ experience Manual Machining.

Core Competencies

• Lifting: Must be able to lift up to 40 pounds occasionally with hoist to be used on objects over 40 pounds.
• Standing: Standing is required in periods of up to three hours at a time.
• Stooping: Would be required to lift objects off pallets.
• Hand Dexterity: Must be able to work with hand tools, screws and gauges, as well as operating buttons on controls.
• Verbal Communication: Must be capable of clear communication between co-workers and supervisor.
• Carrying: Capable of carrying 40 pounds for a distance of up to 25 feet.

Preferences

• Knowledge of inventory processes.
• Process driven and systematic in their approach to completing their work.
• Ability to identify and solve problems.
• Ability to pass certification for Powered Industrial Vehicle license.
