Manual Machinist

About the role

Ferco Tech is seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team in the Midwest. This position requires a deep knowledge of working with exotic materials and a strong ability to fabricate and modify parts.

Responsibilities

• Set up and operate horizontal lathes and mills
• Determine tasks needed to complete machined products
• Perform machining operations such as turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading parts
• Build product acceptance tooling and gauges
• Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
• Able to follow job routers and blueprints to determine machining requirements, including sequence of operations, required tooling, feeds, speeds, etc
• Multi-task and have a good work ethic
• Pass vision screens and be willing to learn
• Have good attendance and manual machinist experience

Requirements

• Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
• Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
• Able to successfully pass vision screens
• Able to perform extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects
• Able to perform repetitive duties, such as hammering a part to specification

Schedule

Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, with possible overtime daily and Fridays
