About the role
Ferco Tech is seeking a Manual Machinist to join our team in the Midwest. This position requires a deep knowledge of working with exotic materials and a strong ability to fabricate and modify parts.
Responsibilities
- Set up and operate horizontal lathes and mills
- Determine tasks needed to complete machined products
- Perform machining operations such as turning, reaming, boring, facing, and threading parts
- Build product acceptance tooling and gauges
- Examine products or work to verify conformance to specifications
- Able to follow job routers and blueprints to determine machining requirements, including sequence of operations, required tooling, feeds, speeds, etc
- Multi-task and have a good work ethic
- Pass vision screens and be willing to learn
- Have good attendance and manual machinist experience
Requirements
- Able to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time on a daily basis
- Able to bend, twist, turn, carry, walk, sit, stoop, kneel, etc
- Able to successfully pass vision screens
- Able to perform extended hours required during peak workloads or special projects
- Able to perform repetitive duties, such as hammering a part to specification

Schedule
Monday - Thursday 6:00 am - 4:30 pm, with possible overtime daily and Fridays

This role is restricted to U.S. persons (i.e., U.S. citizens, permanent residents, and other protected individuals under the Immigration and Naturalization Act, 8 U.S.C. 1324b(a)(3)) due to access to export-controlled technology. Ferco Aerospace will require proof of status prior to employment.
