Manual Inserting Clerk
Job Description
Aid in filling and packaging orders from the warehouse for shipment. Help maintain the warehouse and manage inventory. Assist with training and continuous improvement initiatives. Perform tasks such as picking, packaging, assembling, and labeling printed materials and related items. Ensure accurate shipping information and adhere to specified schedules. Handle materials, place them in bundles, pallets, and containers, and tag them accordingly. Meet productivity and quality standards. Identify and address potential issues, involving department leadership as necessary. Participate in employee and temporary labor training and development. Count and sort various product items. May feed, remove, flex, jog, and stack printed sheets, folded signatures, labels, or other in-process product. Load and unload materials onto pallets, trays, racks, and shelves manually. Assist with special projects or complex customer orders. Maintain warehouse security and safety.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED preferred
- 1+ year of relevant working experience in a manufacturing or warehouse environment required
- Ability to read and interpret job specifications and identify correct parts for fulfilling customer orders
- Good oral and written communication skills sufficient to explain departmental procedures and/or methods when completing assignments
- Basic knowledge of routine packing procedures, techniques, equipment, and general warehouse procedures
- Ability to stock, move, arrange, and rotate items in accordance with operating instructions or under guidance of a higher-level employee
- Basic arithmetic skills to add, subtract, multiply, and divide
- Willingness to flex schedule to meet production needs, including working overtime or a different shift, if needed
- Ability to use a ladder to pick items or retrieve boxes or materials
Additional Information
Shift: 10 hour B Shift - Tues-Fri, 5PM - 3AM
Starting Rate: $15.31
Shift Differential: $1.25
Pay Range: $15.31 to $18.86 per hour
