Manual Cutter - Upholstery

About the role

We are seeking a Manual Cutter to join our dynamic team. This role involves meticulous hand cutting of materials to precise specifications, ensuring each piece meets high standards.

Responsibilities

• Cuts fabrics for cushions and pillows
• Adjusts cutting techniques based on fabric types and cushion/furniture styles
• Adjusts machine controls like heating mechanisms, tensions, and speeds to produce specified products
• Inspects products to ensure specifications are met and makes necessary adjustments to machines
• Operates machines to cut multiple layers of fabric into parts for articles such as pillows, cushions, arms, ends, backs, seats
• Plays patterns on top of layers of fabric and cuts fabric following patterns using various cutting devices
• Constantly stands, bends, and reaches to maneuver cutting devices when cutting fabric on surfaces

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Prior production work experience preferred
• Active listening and critical thinking skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent teamwork and interpersonal communication skills
