Duties And Responsibilities

• Aid special education teachers in implementing IEPs.
• Support students in understanding and completing classroom assignments.
• Implement instructional strategies as directed by the special education teacher.
• Modify materials and adapt lessons to meet the needs of students with disabilities.
• Implement behavioral intervention plans and strategies.
• Maintain records of student progress and behavior.
• Support positive behavior reinforcement and conflict resolution.
• Ensure students' physical needs are met to promote comfort and safety.
• Supervise students in various settings, including classrooms, hallways, lunchrooms, and during extracurricular activities.
• Maintain a safe and inclusive environment for all students.
• Collaborate with special education teachers, general education teachers, and other staff members.
• Communicate effectively with teachers, administrators, and parents regarding student progress and needs.
• Participate in professional development and building level staff meetings.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Working Conditons

• Frequent standing, walking, bending, and lifting.
• Ability to work in various school environments, including classrooms, playgrounds, and cafeterias.

Terms Of Employment

• 181 Day Calendar
• FLSA STATUS: Non-Exempt Classified
