About the role

Material Handler is responsible for moving materials, supplies, and finished products manually or with hand trucks to designated locations within the facility or onto trucks. This position typically reports to the warehouse supervisor or lead.

Responsibilities

• Manually or using a hand truck perform various material handling tasks within the facility.
• Manually load finished product onto pallets or hand trucks.
• Stack pallets or skids in designated areas.
• Provide cleaning services as needed, including sweeping floors, cleaning offices, and disposing of trash in appropriate containers or designated areas.
• Perform other related duties to keep the work area safe, clean, and organized.

Requirements

• High school diploma/GED preferred.
• Must be able to stand/walk for up to 10-12 hours.
• Must be able to lift and/or pull 50 pounds without restriction.
• Regular bending, lifting, stretching, and reaching both below the waist and above the head.
• Frequent walking throughout the distribution center and surrounding areas; facilities are over a quarter-mile long.
• Must be able to work in environments with variable noise levels, lighting conditions, and temperature variation, and access all areas of the building without limitations.
• Ability and availability to work irregular or extended hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays as needed by the client.
• Must have attention to detail.
