Manhattan Active WMS (MAWM) Functional Consultant

About the role

We are seeking a seasoned Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM) specialist with 10+ years of hands-on IT experience in WMS implementation, configuration, integration, testing, and support. Candidates whose background is primarily as a warehouse manager or warehouse end-user will not satisfy the experience requirement.

Responsibilities

• Understand and analyze business requirements for Manhattan Active WMS (MAWM).
• Analyze issues, defects, and changes to existing MAWM functionalities.
• Build and execute test cases independently and perform hands-on configuration/testing within the system.
• Gather and document business and system requirements.
• Prepare and maintain Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) documents.
• Translate user requirements into functional designs, technical designs, application configurations, and testing scenarios.
• Document all aspects of the system according to internal procedures, including:
  • User Requirement Specifications (URS)
  • Process flows
  • Functional specifications
  • Technical designs
  • Application configurations
  • Test scenarios
  • Support documents
• Provide ongoing MAWM application support.
• Support the migration of legacy WMS distribution centers to Manhattan Active WMS.
• Coordinate problem resolution with multiple external vendors, including TMS, packing system, and conveyor system vendors.
• Understand and work with technical-level integrations between MAWM and external systems.
• Demonstrate an understanding of cloud-based services and their application within WMS environments.

Requirements

• 10+ years of relevant experience in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS).
• Strong experience with Manhattan Active Warehouse Management (MAWM).
• Business requirements gathering and analysis.
• MAWM issue resolution and functional enhancements.
• Hands-on MAWM configuration and testing.
• Test case creation and execution.
• Functional and technical documentation (URS, functional specifications, process flows, SOPs).
• Application configuration and testing scenarios.
• MAWM application support.
• Legacy WMS-to-MAWM migration experience.
• Integration experience with external systems (TMS, packing, conveyor).
• Technical understanding of system interfaces and integrations.
• Understanding of cloud-based services.
