Manga Expert
Responsibilities
- Identification of genuine, counterfeit, altered and/or restored manga of various years (Golden Age, Silver Age, Modern) and genres (Shonen, Horror, Shojo, Seinen, etc.)
- Develop authentication and grading standards and processes in collaboration with senior leadership
- Partner with the company’s internal and external resources to develop holder solutions for manga
- Hire and train additional manga experts
- Maintain the company’s database of manga collectibles and ensure accurate and consistent descriptions for manga collectibles
- Enter all relevant data into the company’s computer systems
- Collaborate with the company’s marketing team to produce content and inform its marketing strategy for manga

The Certified Guaranty Company® (CGC®) is expanding its grading services into the vibrant and growing manga collectible category. As a top manga expert, you will play a crucial role in establishing and maintaining authentication and grading standards for this exciting new market.
Requirements
Experience in the comic book grading industry
Knowledge of a wide variety of manga
Knowledge of manga variants, including variant covers, multi-volume publications, limited releases and more
Ability to speak and read Japanese
Highest level of integrity
Strong desire to grow as well as train and lead other team members
Willingness to travel domestically and internationally as needed
Qualifications
The ideal candidate will be well-known and highly respected in the manga community.

Schedule
The position is based at CCG’s headquarters in Sarasota, Florida, but may include domestic and international travel to trade shows and other CCG offices.
