Mandarin Teacher

Responsibilities

• Teach the full range of Mandarin courses from introductory classes through Advanced Placement (AP)
• Support students with varying levels of language proficiency
• Design and implement engaging lesson plans
• Foster proficiency in listening, speaking, reading, and writing
• Adapt teaching methods to accommodate various learning styles
• Manage classroom behavior through positive behavior management strategies
• Ensure a safe and productive learning environment
• Communicate regularly with students and families regarding student progress

Requirements

• Valid Maine Teacher Certification
• Criminal History Record Check (CHRC)
• Ability to teach Mandarin Chinese from beginner to Advanced Placement (AP)
