About the role
Kingsley Montessori School is seeking a Mandarin Private Lesson Piano Teacher for its After School Music Program, starting in September 2026. The position is ideal for individuals with experience teaching very young students.
Responsibilities
- Provide one-on-one weekly lessons to students in grades K-6 (ages 5-12)
- Guide students to develop their own practice regimens
- Teach vocabulary, grammar and syntax, pronunciation, and reading and writing comprehension
- Integrate cultural components into lessons
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience with a variety of instructional methods and multi-age learning environments
- Demonstrated knowledge of curriculum design and development
- Commitment to meeting the needs of each student
- Commitment to professional growth and best practices in education
Qualifications
- Fluency in Mandarin
- Teaching demonstration video of a 30-minute one-on-one lesson with a student age 5-12 (required for interview)
Skills
- Effective communication skills
- Ability to adapt teaching methods to individual student needs
- Strong organizational skills
Benefits
Kingsley Montessori School offers competitive salaries. The salary for this position is $65/hourly.
Pay
$65/hourly
Schedule
Hours vary between 3-6PM Monday-Friday based upon enrollment and teacher availability.
