About the Role
Glen Park Senior Living is seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mandarin-speaking Caregiver to assist our residents with daily living activities while creating a supportive, healthy environment where they can thrive. As a Direct Care Staff member, you will assist elderly residents, convalescents, and individuals with disabilities in a care facility setting, providing hands-on support while promoting residents’ comfort, dignity, safety, and overall well-being.
Responsibilities
- Assist residents with bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and other personal care needs.
- Support residents with eating, mobility, positioning, and other activities of daily living.
- Prepare, serve, and assist residents with meals and snacks as needed.
- Monitor residents and promptly report changes in condition, incidents, or concerns to the appropriate supervisor.
- Participate in and support the facility’s Activities Program to promote social engagement and quality of life.
- Communicate respectfully with residents, families, coworkers, and management regarding resident needs and care.
- Follow care plans and accurately document required resident care and observations.
- Assist with maintaining a clean, safe, and organized living environment, including light housekeeping duties.
- Work collaboratively with caregivers, MedTechs, nurses, office staff, and other departments to provide quality resident care.
- Attend required monthly and quarterly in-services and complete all required training.
- Maintain confidentiality, respect residents’ privacy and dignity, and follow all company policies and procedures.
- For residents with developmental disabilities:
- Follow the facility’s Program Design.
- Complete specialized training as required.
- Support goals outlined in each resident’s Individual Program Plan (IPP).
- Maintain accurate progress notes documenting IPP objectives and accomplishments.
Requirements
- Mandarin-speaking required.
- Compassionate and patient approach to resident care.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
- Ability to perform the physical requirements of the position.
- Live-Scan Fingerprint Clearance.
- CPR/First Aid Certificate.
- Negative TB Test and Health Screening.
- Ability to work in person at Glen Park at Glendora, 452 Seller St Glendora, CA 91741.
Schedule
Available shifts include AM/PM shifts, with a willingness to work weekends required.
Pay
$18–$19/hour.
