About the role

Tank Holding Corporation is the market leader in manufacturing rotationally molded poly and welded steel bulk storage and material handling products in North America. The company is rapidly growing and expanding its capabilities to diversify product offerings.

The shipper/warehouse position is responsible for sending and receiving all materials within our warehouse system, including finished product, production components, and raw materials. This role is primarily (90%) outdoor shipping, receiving, and material handling. During quieter periods, you will assist with warehouse and secondary operations.

Responsibilities

• Competent and safe operation of forklifts for loading and unloading.
• Inspect incoming trailers/vans/vehicles to ensure safe loading/unloading operations.
• Communicate with plant administration, customer service representatives, and drivers for daily logistics planning.
• Handle pallets, molds, product, raw materials, scrap, etc., using forklifts (training and certification provided).
• Maintain an organized yard by storing, labeling, and organizing materials correctly; may require palletizing, steel banding, shrink wrapping, etc.
• Assist in the warehouse and/or secondary operations to maintain production levels and complete secondary requirements.
• Perform accurate cycle counts and document received items through necessary paperwork.
• Comply with all safety programs and policies.
• Perform other related duties as required.

Requirements

• Experience operating forklifts.
• Experience handling materials safely and efficiently.
• Ability to perform pre-shift equipment inspections and report any safety concerns.
• Ability to work effectively alone or as part of a team.
• Comfortable with hands-on work, including heavy lifting and "dirty" jobs.
• Ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions (hot, cold, etc.).
• Highly organized, energetic, and capable of taking ownership of the shipping yard.

Physical Requirements

The employee must be able to work in indoor and outdoor conditions, performing activities such as climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, and lifting up to 100 pounds. Exposure to heights, humidity, heat, cold, noise, vibration, moving mechanical parts, forklift traffic, and tractor-trailer traffic is expected.

$20.00/hour
