Managing Director, Strategic Partnerships Business Development
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with centers of influence (Wealth Management Consultants, CPA/Tax Advisors, Estate Planning & Trust Attorneys, SDIRA Custodians, Real Estate Professionals) and represent the bank through active market and community engagement.
- Ensure minimum SDIRA deposit annual production standards are being met or exceeded.
- Develop and maintain a robust pipeline, including accurate activity reporting and forecasting to support performance management and sales transparency.
- Collaborate with partners to identify new opportunities for growth and expansion, including both deposit and lending needs, to create long-term relationships for the Bank.
- Monitor industry trends and competitive developments to identify emerging opportunities.
- Operate within the bank’s risk appetite, ensuring all prospecting, onboarding, and deal structures adhere to legal, compliance, and regulatory standards.
Relationship Management
- Create annual growth plans and business objectives for current strategic partner relationships.
- Conduct regular business reviews and partner relationship discussions.
- Work collaboratively with internal teams to resolve partner concerns and enhance their experience.
- Develop initiatives to increase partner engagement, retention, and growth.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree required.
- Located in the Denver, CO or Salt Lake City, UT metropolitan areas.
- Minimum of 10-15 years of experience in a business development position required.
- Minimum of 5-7 years of experience in financial services, retirement services, fintech, or related industries preferred.
- Proven ability to proactively source, qualify, and advance new provider-client opportunities required.
- Deep understanding of financial solutions, including deposits, loans, and treasury management products required.
- Familiarity with Self-Directed IRAs, Solo401(k), IRA Checkbook Control, and Non-Recourse Loan structures preferred.
- Knowledge of working with custodians, trust companies, and/or estate planning/trust attorneys preferred.
- Knowledge of Salesforce or similar CRM required.
- Excellent relationship-building and communication skills.
- Strong organizational time management skills, problem solving skills, and the ability to quickly grasp concepts and processes with limited guidance from management.
- Must be able to work in a team environment with the ability to interact well, and in a positive manner, with co-workers and management.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- A positive and collaborative approach with both peers and management.
- Versatility, flexibility, and a willingness to work on changing priorities with enthusiasm.
