The Managing Director, Originations role is focused on driving growth through strategic lending origination and relationship development within the private credit market. Key responsibilities include:
- Sourcing high-quality financing opportunities
- Building trusted relationships with borrowers, financial intermediaries, and investment teams
- Leading transactions from initial conversations through executed term sheets
- Identifying opportunities that align with strategic investment objectives
Requirements
- 10+ years of experience originating commercial lending, private credit, or specialty finance transactions
- Demonstrated success sourcing and executing financing transactions while managing complex stakeholder relationships
- Strong understanding of credit structures, collateral evaluation, loan documentation, and commercial finance processes
- Experience structuring financing solutions and negotiating complex transactions
- Excellent relationship management, communication, and negotiation skills
- Ability to independently manage a pipeline while collaborating effectively with underwriting and investment teams
- Strong commercial judgment with the ability to evaluate opportunities and align them with investment objectives
- Experience in one or more areas such as direct lending, private credit, asset-based lending, specialty finance, commercial banking, or structured finance
