About the role

The Managing Director of Technology will lead technical delivery for enterprise clients, build the engineering team, and shape our AI strategy through the lens of what actually ships.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical delivery for enterprise clients
• Build how we deliver, not just what we deliver
• Hire and develop the engineering team
• Own platform and infrastructure decisions
• Shape our AI strategy through the lens of what actually ships

Requirements

• Built and shipped AI/ML systems in production
• Hired and led a technical team - at least 5 people, ideally more
• Comfortable making big decisions with imperfect information
• Energetic about building a company

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
• Experience scaling a startup or early-stage company
• Experience in a services or consultancy model
• A network of engineers you’ve worked with and would hire again

Skills

• Strong opinions on AI architecture grounded in hands-on experience
• Ability to explain technical trade-offs to non-technical executives
• Comfortable in the weeds, helping when something is broken or a team is stuck
• Knowledge of cloud infrastructure and engineering practices
