The Managing Director of Expansion & Growth will lead a high-velocity, audience-based sales team responsible for driving multi-market, regional revenue growth across the markets that Axios serves. This leader will build a disciplined, package-first sales culture that drives multi-product adoption, increases ACV, and sales velocity. They will develop hunters who sell audience solutions at scale.

Know how regional budgets differ from single-market budgets.
Have experience in consultative selling and can reframe clients around funnel gaps.
Have in-depth knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios' competitive landscape.
Have strong CRM discipline and forecasting rigor.
Suggest AI workflows to improve revenue generation and Client Partner effectiveness.
Oversee all aspects of daily operations for a team of client partners, including hiring, training, coaching and development, and performance management.
Have excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the willingness to proactively partner with Industry Solutions, Axios Brand Studio, and events teams.
What You Bring
10+ years’ experience in sales, specifically in the digital media industry.
Experience leading distributed, high-velocity sales teams at scale.
Multi-market sales experience and knowledge of regional budgets.
Consultative selling experience and ability to reframe clients around funnel gaps.
In-depth knowledge of digital media, online marketing technology, and Axios' competitive landscape.
Strong CRM discipline and forecasting rigor.
Ability to suggest AI workflows to improve revenue generation and Client Partner effectiveness.
Ability to oversee all aspects of daily operations for a team of client partners, including hiring, training, coaching and development, and performance management.
Excellent cross-functional collaboration skills and the willingness to proactively partner with Industry Solutions, Axios Brand Studio, and events teams.
Willingness to travel and attend social events and engagements during evening hours.
What We Offer
Starting salary range: $114,000 - $141,000, dependent on various factors including location, work experience, and skills.
