About the role

The role will define Micron Ventures’ investment strategy, sector priorities, and portfolio construction in alignment with Micron’s corporate strategy and technology roadmap. This leader will own the full venture lifecycle, including thesis development, sourcing, diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and executive-level investment recommendations. The role will also partner closely with Micron business units and technical leaders to turn investments into strategic value through pilots, commercial engagement, product collaboration, and market insight.

Responsibilities

  • Own the full venture lifecycle, including thesis development, sourcing, diligence, valuation, structuring, negotiation, and executive-level investment recommendations.
  • Partner closely with Micron business units and technical leaders to turn investments into strategic value through pilots, commercial engagement, product collaboration, and market insight.
  • Serve as the venture arm’s primary external ambassador across the founder, VC, and research communities, while acting as a trusted advisor to Micron’s executive leadership on technology shifts, competitive dynamics, partnership opportunities, and adjacent M&A themes.

Requirements

  • Master’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Statistics, Physics, Mathematics, Business administration, or related field.
  • 15+ years of experience in venture capital, corporate venture capital, growth investing, or corporate development, including at least 5 years in senior fund leadership roles.
  • Consistent track record of successful investments and exits with financial and measurable strategic outcomes.
  • Experience leading or shaping the strategy of a $100M+ venture fund, including portfolio construction, deployment pacing, reserve strategy, and exit planning.
  • Extensive network across premier venture firms, founders, universities, accelerators, and frontier AI and semiconductor communities.
  • Proven ability to build and lead high-performing investment teams and focused investment processes.
  • Deep expertise in AI/ML, semiconductor ecosystems, advanced compute infrastructure, and the evolving hardware-software stack.
  • Exceptional executive presence, communication skills, and judgment in high-stakes internal and external settings.

Pay

The US base salary range that Micron Technology estimates it could pay for this full-time position is: $236,000.00 - $412,000.00 a year. Additional Compensation May Include Benefits, Bonuses And Equity. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target base pay for new hire salaries of the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional job-related factors, including knowledge, skills, experience, tenure and relevant education or training. The pay scale is subject to change depending on business needs.
