About the role

The Managing Director, Shared Services, oversees multiple core finance functions including Accounting Services and Treasury. Key responsibilities include:

  • Maintain and manage accounts receivable, transportation accounts payable, credit, and collections activities.
  • Cultivate strong client relationships and serve as an escalation point for complex issues.
  • Create and enforce SLAs, performance metrics, and quality standards for strategic operating partners.
  • Increase efficiency, scalability, and service quality through process improvements and technology enhancements.
  • Ensure internal controls are in place to safeguard assets and ensure accurate financial reporting.
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors to support audit activities and resolve findings promptly.
  • Manage treasury operations for U.S., Canada, Mexico, and Asia, overseeing cash management, intercompany balances, and banking relationships.
  • Report treasury performance, risk exposure, and key metrics to executive leadership.
  • Represent the Finance function in cross-departmental initiatives, M&A due diligence, and strategic transactions.
  • Build, mentor, and retain a high-performing team across accounting, treasury, and operations.

Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include:

  • Oversee AR, AP, credit, and collections activities for strategic operating partners and company-owned locations.
  • Manage treasury operations, including cash management, intercompany balances, and banking relationships.
  • Collaborate with corporate leadership and operating partner leadership to align accounting services with strategic objectives.
  • Represent the Finance function in cross-departmental initiatives, M&A due diligence, and strategic transactions.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree (or higher) in Accounting, Finance, or a related field preferred.
  • Minimum of 10 years of progressive experience in accounting, finance, or treasury, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Demonstrated experience managing shared services or outsourced accounting functions for multiple business units.
  • Proven track record leading treasury operations, including cash management, risk mitigation, and corporate banking.
  • Strong knowledge of treasury management principles and cash flow forecasting.
  • Exceptional client/employee relationship management skills with a client-first orientation.
  • Superior analytical, problem-solving, and strategic thinking capabilities with a sense of urgency.
  • Excellent communication, presentation, and executive influencing skills.
  • Experience with SAP and CashPro highly desirable.

Qualifications

Pay

$110,000 - $135,000 annually.

Schedule
