About the role

We are seeking a Managing Director, Equity Trading focusing on the Technology Sector to expand our Equity Trading presence in New York City. This high-compensation opportunity is designed for an elite institutional professional with deep Technology sector expertise, an established client network, and the drive to build something exceptional. Responsibilities

  • Originate, grow, and monetize high-value institutional trading relationships across hedge funds, mutual funds, and asset managers, with a focus on Technology sector mandates (TMT/TMS)
  • Deliver differentiated, actionable investment ideas backed by Wedbush’s highly regarded Technology research franchise
  • Drive revenue growth through active equity trading, block facilitation, and flow monetization
  • Partner with research analysts, investment bankers, and sales professionals to deliver fully integrated, high-impact client solutions
  • Leverage CRM, Bloomberg, and analytics platforms to proactively manage your pipeline, track performance, and identify emerging revenue opportunities
  • Represent Wedbush’s brand with professionalism, credibility, and market authority to top-tier institutional clients

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution required; MBA or CFA a distinction
  • 10+ years of institutional equity experience, with demonstrated expertise in the Technology sector (TMT/TMS strongly preferred)
  • A proven, portable book of institutional relationships with hedge funds, mutual funds, asset managers, and beyond
  • A verifiable production track record with measurable revenue attribution
  • Deep command of Technology sector dynamics, including semiconductors, software, AI, cloud infrastructure, and emerging tech
  • Expert proficiency in Bloomberg, Thomson Eikon, and Microsoft Office (Excel and PowerPoint at an elite level)
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills for engaging with sophisticated institutional investors
  • Series 7, 57, and 63 licenses (or equivalent); additional licenses a plus

Pay

A reasonable estimate of the current compensation range for this role is $250,000. Colleagues may be eligible for additional, discretionary incentive compensation based on individual and firm performance.
