Managing Director

About the role

MM Packaging is seeking a strategic and results-driven Managing Director to provide overall leadership and direction for all site operations at our Charlotte, NC plant, including Production, Quality, Maintenance, Engineering, Supply Chain, Customer Service, Human Resources, and Environmental Health & Safety. This executive leadership role is responsible for developing and executing business strategies that align with MM Packaging's global objectives and support profitable growth as well as leading the organization in achieving operational excellence, customer satisfaction, financial performance and employee engagement goals.

Responsibilities

• Provide overall leadership and oversight of daily manufacturing operations to ensure optimum performance, productivity, quality and efficiency
• Establish and monitor key operational metrics including productivity, quality, waste reduction, on-time delivery, equipment effectiveness and customer satisfaction
• Drive Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, Kaizen and continuous improvement initiatives throughout the plant
• Partner with functional leaders to optimize production schedules, capacity planning, resource allocation and operational processes
• Assume full P&L responsibility for the facility and ensure achievement of financial objectives
• Drive initiatives to improve profitability through productivity improvements, cost reductions and operational efficiencies

Requirements

• Degree in Business, Engineering, Operations Management, Manufacturing or related field
• 10 years of progressive manufacturing leadership experience, including senior operational leadership responsibility
• Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or Continuous Improvement certifications
• Experience managing large, cross-functional teams in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
• Experience within packaging, printing, consumer goods, pharmaceutical packaging or other highly regulated manufacturing industries
