About the role

Dedicated to preparing thoughtful, reflective, and highly skilled Montessori educators, Montessori Northwest supports adult learners and Montessori communities through rigorous AMI training programs, professional development opportunities, and a deep commitment to authentic Montessori practice.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all aspects of the AMI teacher education program, including curriculum design, course delivery, and student support.
• Develop and maintain strong relationships with AMI regional offices and other educational partners to ensure alignment with national standards and best practices.
• Collaborate with faculty to refine and enhance the teacher education curriculum based on feedback and emerging trends in Montessori education.
• Provide leadership and mentorship to a team of educators and administrators, fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Represent Montessori Northwest at conferences and events, promoting the organization's mission and values.

Requirements

• A Master's degree in Education, Psychology, or a related field.
• AMI accreditation as a Montessori teacher.
• At least 5 years of experience in Montessori education, preferably in a leadership capacity.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with diverse stakeholders.
• Experience with adult education and adult learning principles.
