Managing Consultant (Remote)

About the role

We are seeking a highly motivated and self-directed individual with extensive experience in financial management for nonprofits. This position offers the flexibility of 100% remote work.

Responsibilities

• Lead financial strategy creation for organizations.
• Manage all aspects of financial operations, including accounting software and transactions management.
• Create financial management documents for both board and staff.
• Train staff on complex financial concepts.
• Create and implement organization-wide systems.
• Review high-level work to ensure accuracy.
• Effectively manage 3-5 direct reports and drive projects to completion.
• Deliver excellent client service.
• Handle multiple time-sensitive priorities with exceptional organizational skills.

Requirements

• 20+ years of nonprofit accounting experience, preferably in the arts sector.
• Extensive experience running a finance department.
• In-depth knowledge of GAAP and nonprofit accounting, reporting, and compliance.
• Expertise in utilizing Excel and QuickBooks Online.
• Proven ability to work directly in a finance department.

Qualifications

• Master’s degree in a relevant field preferred.
• Strong communication skills.
• Genuine interest in the performing and/or visual arts.

Schedule

Core work hours are 9am–6pm Eastern.

Pay

Salary range: $130,000–$175,000 depending on experience.
